Will delete extra topic. This picture is adorable, although the beardie looks a little skeptical about how this will all end. 🙄

Sounds like a beardie-loving family for sure! Have you guys been doing this for a few years?

Thanks for that comprehensive cricket contest essay and picture of what looks like an awesome habitat. Can we get a picture of Mile himself?

Good to hear from you again AB. I was getting worried. I did of course give you a gold, now you need to get all of your friends to do the same to keep Rexxar fat and happy.

That’s a lot of grass and sunshine for this time of the year that these guys are enjoying. Looks appealing to me too! Since the older guy is an uncle, I take it you are a breeder?

No need to panic just yet. Get him back on mice for a little while. To make them more appealing, you should puncture the mouse cranium, called pithing. This makes the warmed mouse smell more delicious, for some reason. Ball Pythons are notoriously picky eaters, but generally get back in the game at some point. Drives owners nuts, so hang in there.

OMG, that’s fascinating! It is certainly not unheard of though. Here is a great Youtube link that explains it well.

Oh, I feel ya. Here in Western Colorado we are a little bit better off, but not much. For anyone with an animal, be it a chicken, a beardie, a goat or a horse, I strongly recommend that they keep a bottle of Wonderdust on hand. This sulfa based topical is awesome and super cheap. For country folk it can be a life saver. There is no reason why it can’t go on your beardie if he gets more owies. Your local feed store should have it, but if they don’t, it’s readily available online.

I gave a critter gold and it looks like you may be the month’s winner so far, although of course that can change. What other reptiles do you currently possess?

So the anti-fungal didn’t work? The skin looks pretty raw. A triple anti-biotic ointment on the affected areas may ease the discomfort and prevent secondary infection. If it appears as though the problem is spreading, I highly recommend a vet visit.

He should be ready to become a proud poppa in May. Lil Moe should be a year old however, because super early egg-laying can shorten her life span.

I love that grumpy face! So if he is her boyfriend, I guess you will be expecting lots of Lil Moe’s in 2022?
