ZoodulcisModeratorGreetings AB, I have very much appreciated your input and energy for rescuing. I also have been inspired by your love for animals. I will no longer be the moderator for this forum, as I am moving on to other things. Be well and keep the animal faith, baby!
ZoodulcisModeratorI don’ think a list of pets in need of homes is taboo, just don’t include prices. Do include contact information and of course, tell them how awesome Critter Depot is!
ZoodulcisModeratorThat sounds like a very worthy endeavor and a lot of work. What exactly is an LFS? If you have a list of animals for rehoming, would be willing to post it here? Some members migght be interested in adoption, you never know.
ZoodulcisModeratorThis is the first ever on this site for this species. And boy, is she cute!! How big is she?
ZoodulcisModeratorHard to be sure from the photos, but does not look marble eye to me. The pupil is distinctly visible, which is not true of the new marble-eye morphs. Someone else may have a different opinion, however.
ZoodulcisModeratorWhat fun for you! have you wanted a chameleon for a while, or was this a more spontaneous treat for yourself?

ZoodulcisModeratorI’m not a breeder, and even morphs have morphs, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But it does look like that morph to me.
ZoodulcisModeratorSure looks like a Mojave Pastel morph (not breed) to me. Why is this little beauty a rescue? It looks in fine shape. Please don’t tell us that you rescued it from Petsmart by paying top dollar for her.

ZoodulcisModeratorSure looks like it to me, given the pale circles on the spine.
ZoodulcisModeratorSounds like you are attempting to go bio for the habitat and your pet objects. Does this beastie flick hairs to show his/her disapproval?
ZoodulcisModeratorGreat question and it’s good that you are tackling this question now. The answer is….it depends. That is why you see differing accounts of how much and when to feed. The best rule of thumb is to feed a smaller size rather than larger. If you are in doubt, keep feeding pinkies until the size of the snake’s head is 1 and 1/2 times the width of a fuzzy. This will preclude choking and regurgitation. It means feeding more pinkies, but that is the safest course of action. At 6 months of age, this snake should definitely be able to handle a fuzzy, unless it is an extraordinarily small male, then your judgment must be used. In general, it is always best to feed small items more often, than to take a risk with a single larger food item.
ZoodulcisModeratorA nice post AB and thanks. A persnicky point from me, chameleons are not domesticated. That takes thousands of years. They are technically wild animals that make good companion animals. That makes your point about DNA even more true!
ZoodulcisModeratorSo cute. Boy and girl? Brother and sister? Future parents?
ZoodulcisModerator10 a day seems like plenty. The wee piggy. I can see why you need to win the contest! Remind me, is he your only reptile?
ZoodulcisModeratorAt 14 months, he does not need to apologize for his size. But he is a big lad. How many crickets does he now eat each week?
