Oh cute name, but he is so much cuter than his name sake! Breeding crickets can be tricky, but easier than breeding dubia roaches, or so they tell me.

As I recall, it was about 3 feet wide and 6 feet high. Pretty decked out!!

He looks like a sweety and big for his age. How many crickets does he eat each week right now?

Blacky looks like a nice boy. I can’t figure out the breed, though. Roosters generally don’t like to cuddle, so he a great dude. I did once have a Brahma that was uber friendly this way. Did you raise him from a chick?

She seems to be very loving and happy. Does she have any non-human playmates?

Then one on top is keeping an eye on the sky. A truly scary moment, and the hawk may return frequently, hoping to get lucky.

Beautiful animal. Not sure about color morph. Growth rate, lack of nuptial pads and a tendency to flatten out (pancake) a lot means a female in all likelihood. If this colorful guy/gal sits upright a lot and croaks quite a bit, then you probably have a male.

Good to know. So many people have recently purchased beardies from big box stores where little support is offered from overworked, underpaid employees that I love being able to send forum members to reputable breeders where there is an actual person with experience providing pets and support. I will put her under the awesome breeders subcategory on this site, since she has your ringing endorsement.

I bet it’s a lot of fun watching her go after those feisty food items. What do you use to gutload her crickets with?
