He sounds like an amazing companion. I have to say that the vast majority of beardie owners are nuts about them. There is seldom a crabby one in the bunch, beardies, that is. Can’t speak for the owners. Chameleons seem to run the gamut personality-wise, but beardies are almost always super social, except for some rescues that have been badly neglected when very young. Where did you get yours?

Have you tried a honey bath? If he is not pooping regularly, this may help. It may take several days.

The spirits are telling me that there are lots of free crickets in your future (but only if you get a whole bunch of your friends to log on and give you a critter gold.) That is quite the dragon crew. Do you have any other herps?

That is quite a behavioral change. I can see why you are so impressed and pleased. Poor dude, missing toes. Sounds like he is in a much better life spot. Thanks for being so informative about this change, it lets others know that the transition from conventional to bioactive is well worth the extra effort. Plus they look so much more awesome.

Looks awesome! Are you happy with it so far? Most folks find them to be a great improvement maintenance-wise, as long as they have plenty of detrivores at work. Are you using springtails?

We don’t see nearly enough frilled lizards on the site, so it’s good to see this one. Looks upset though. Is she/he startled about something?
