Hibiscus has always been a favorite with some of my reptiles, especially tortoises. Do you mist him with warm water?

Oh good for you, raising some of your owner feeder insects. Do pinhead crickets crick very much? The sounds of dozens of crickets going off all at once inside my living space is not one of my favorite experiences. But I have no experience with pinheads.

He does have a sort of Oscar the Grouch expression. Does he allow you to handle him at all? And if he hates water, how does he stay hydrated?

An eleven-year old that likes to feed the snake! Sounds familiar to me, since my daughter liked feeding her ball python at that age a well. Not squeamish, these kids.

How far along with your roach colony are you?

Red Lights for nighttime use are visible to the beardie and may disrupt sleep cycles. During the day, it causes distortion in their visual field and can damage the eye itself. For night time a ceramic heat emitter is recommended and for daytime, a UVB bulb or two, and maybe an additional CHE if the ambient temperature of the room stays on the chilly side. Yes, they are more expensive than the ‘brooder lamps,’ but over time are much better for Chief’s health.
