BSFL have an excellent calcium-to-phosphorus ratio (crickets don't have an excellent ratio)
BSFL are easier to digest than older crickets due to less chitin
BSFL have more fat, which is great for reproducing reptiles and amphibians
BSFL handle cold temps better, and are far more likely to survive winter transits.
We think crickets certainly have their benefits, but BSFL takes the cake.

[post_content] => Hey everyone! Meet Larry, our adopted bearded dragon (also known as Larry-Berry). He came to us severely impacted and we weren't sure if he would survive. We are new to the bearded dragon community but Larry has won our hearts and we have done lots of research to make sure that he has a happy and healthy life now :) He has gotten used to regular baths and he LOVES crickets, he eats so many of them! We made him this shark Halloween costume and he also has his own instagram account, he would love it if you would give him a follow at @dragonlarryberry. Larry has fought hard for his life and a years' worth of crickets would be such an amazing gift for him <3

[post_content] => This little chunk is Inky, the Leopard Gecko. He loves eating all kinds of bugs, especially crickets, and likes to try and climb up the glass to get out when he see's us. His favorite places are his underground cave and our sleeves and pockets. He's a little magician! He went from a little boys birthday gift, to his best friend overnight.
We have 9 other critters that LOVE eating crickets besides Inky here, so we'd REALLY appreciate a year of crickets for them. #CricketContest.

[post_content] => These are two feeders I've never actually tried but am interested in getting at some point. Especially the BSFL. Are black soldier flies small enough for green anoles or house geckos to eat? (just in case any hide in the terrarium and turn into flies). And can dubia roaches climb vertical on plastic or glass? I don't want any of these getting out, if I ever get any.

[post_content] => We see it first hand; crickets are the most popular feeder insect. But why? We wrote this article comparing crickets to BSFL, and there's overwelming evidence that BSFL are the superior feeder insect:
BSFL have an excellent calcium-to-phosphorus ratio (crickets don't have an excellent ratio)
BSFL are easier to digest than older crickets due to less chitin
BSFL have more fat, which is great for reproducing reptiles and amphibians
BSFL handle cold temps better, and are far more likely to survive winter transits.
