ZoodulcisModeratorIt’s a good thing you readjusted the settings. Turns out he may be too cold to have a great appetite. At this point, raising the heat lamp actually sounds like a bad idea. Take several more readings today if you can. His basking furniture may need to be moved closer to the heat source. Do not move anything closer to the UV light, for reasons concerning eye damaged as mentioned earlier.
ZoodulcisModeratorGosh that’s a tough one, but since one indicator reads 107, which is too much, I think I would err on the side of caution and raise it just a bit for a couple of days. Read the temperature at least three times per day after you re-adjust the lamp. It seems to me that the improvements made so far are going in the right direction, if his behavior is any indication. Just a bit could be two inches. Then measure, measure, measure and observe both the temperature readings and his behavior.
ZoodulcisModeratorVery interesting coloration!! Any neurological problems?
ZoodulcisModeratorNice looking beardie in a nice looking habitat set-up.
ZoodulcisModeratorMy pleasure. Truly. It is so true that the devil is in the details. On the other hand, I do think the health of our pets is in the details. As was said in Harry Potter and other places, CONSTANT VIGILANCE!
ZoodulcisModeratorI agree, sorta. If it was me I would wait for a month until the bulb is a little older. That way there is less exposure to the beardie’s eyes from the maximum output of a fresh bulb. But after about 3-4 weeks, I agree it should be repositioned.
ZoodulcisModeratorThat is one of the top two reasons I would have one. The other one is their crazy eyes. They just crack me up no matter how bad I’m feeling.
ZoodulcisModeratorWow, psychedelic man! Get all of Rosco’s friends to log on and give him a critter gold.
ZoodulcisModeratorThe little one seems determined to be a social climber!! The older one sure is patient.
ZoodulcisModeratorHey AB, it seems that somewhere on this site there is a thread about this color change. Could be several months old, though. Stress can cause it, but then the colors lighten again, and I doubt that your pet is very stressed. Just maturing.
ZoodulcisModeratorHey Tulio, can you play “Free Bird?” 🤣 When did he start doing this?
ZoodulcisModeratorNow this is a unique photo. How long has she been doing this?
ZoodulcisModeratorIt’s fun how their personalities emerge from a very young age. What’s her name and how old?
ZoodulcisModeratorHey Brett, the best way to win the cricket contest is with only one picture of Zeppelin and gets lots of votes. Would you like me to delete one of the posts?
ZoodulcisModeratorTiny little thing! How old?
