      Veiled Chameleon getting a mask

      This is Rexxar. Ive been noticing black markings on his face, at first I was worried due to him being our first Cham. But this just seems to be him getting older and getting his more adult colors. He used to just have a slight grayish where its now black. I didn’t know they got black on them like this, so i find it interesting. This seems normal to more experienced cham owners , right? Ill add a pic of him before as well.

      Hey AB, it seems that somewhere on this site there is a thread about this color change. Could be several months old, though. Stress can cause it, but then the colors lighten again, and I doubt that your pet is very stressed. Just maturing.

        Thank you! I will check it out. He only has these blacks when he first gets up and while sleeping. That’s what lead me to believe it was normal, adult color change.
