A fast chameleon! Isn’t that an oxymoron? You have got to make a video of his dance routine sometime. Talk about cheering people up. And we could all use it these days.

They are so unbelievably adorable! By the way, I noticed that you commented to another forum member on the number of golds she had already. The big secret to this is…..lot’s of friends! So while everyone is in lock down, contact your friends and get them all to log in and give you a critter gold. Tell them if they really love you, they will do this for you 😁

Oh too right! How long does it take him to greet the new day with a green attitude?

Big eyed froggy. Is he/she more active at night than during the day?

It’s a really nice hood! Can’t for the life a me see one single denizen, either hopz or his homies. I guess that makes that a pretty sweet habitat!

What a diverse crew! All some my personal favorites. Cage cleaning and food management must keep you jumpin’! Do you get family members’ help with all of that? If so, who does what?

I am so glad to be able to help! And don’t hesitate to ask for advice. The only thing that I give qualified advice on is medical. Since I am a zoologist and not a veterinarian, I always preface my input on illness with that caveat. But on husbandry, behavior, nutrition, sanitation, disease prevention, and so forth, feel free to continue a dialogue. It may help to keep a middle schooler involved in animal care at just the time when it can be of the most use to her.

Is she one of your 4 pets that you mentioned in a different post, or was that 4 reptiles and the hog is additional?

Well that is a hilarious video. And it seems to work up an appetite, all of that shedding calisthenics. Do you think he will shed again in 60 days or so?

I asked because he seems so well adjusted. Getting them young shortens the process, although some owners of adult rescues have had great success with hand taming standoffish adults, it just takes more time and patience.

What do you gut load his crickets with?

I know the feeling! I ended up starting seeds indoors for a vegetable garden, since it’s plain I won’t be doing any traveling during the growing season. So much fun. Do you have your 4 together or in separate habitats?

Probably a whole lot more active than the rest of that cohort! A little bit of tortoise and hare terrarium residents. What sort of comedic things does he get up to?

Sounds like he is getting plenty of protein, which is good. What do you use to supply his calcium and D3 needs? Those things are critical at this stage of his life, especially if he is a fast grower.

Eliot seems pretty friendly and photogenic. Have you had him since he was an infant beardie?
