Thanks for clarifying who is who.  So these jokers attracted you to them by force of personality.  Good to know!  Sometimes forum readers ask what other readers and the moderators think about this and that species, and I know very little about these guys, so now I am the wiser.  Were they hard to acquire?  Did they come from US breeders?

What a hoot!  Possibly using the other guy to bet closer to the warmth.  They are a social species, aren’t they!  I never realized.  How did you get into raising/owning this particular species?

That is very kind of you to do that.  I’m sure the kids are pretty thrilled.  Some of the parents too!  Beardies do seem to love their strawberries.  What sort of veggies does he prefer?

Any idea why they do this?  Their names seem to indicate they are all males, so I’m tentatively ruling out mating behavior.

I agree that these are in essence wild animals, and as such can be a bit unpredictable. Not unlike humans!  Diligence in observation is so important when letting pets outside.  I have friends who have lost reptiles and birds this way.  Just one moment of inattention and vanishing act happens!

I have actually done the long line thing and it does work.  Once when trying to train a very small baby goat to stay with the new herd in the backcountry, I put a harness and long line on the little guy.  Sure enough, at some point he got confused and frightened and tried to take off.  The line saved the day.  We were able to restrain him without actually having to get our hands on him.  If the Princess takes off again, you might consider it.  What is it exactly about the harness that seems uncomfortable for her?

Miss Pebbles is indeed a looker!  I love the pose.  She has some tough competition this month because lots of proud dragon moms and dads are posting pictures.  These guys sure are photogenic.  How long have you had her?
