I’m with Chessie’s dad. I highly recommend tiles for the same reasons. I like a little loose sand in between tiles that are on a netted surface. That’s normally where grout would go, but the sand is attractive and keeps feces on top of the tiles, instead of letting some fall in between occasionally.

Hah!!! No, in this case it stands for Chinese Water Dragon. Sorry, that is a familiar acronym to me in the reptile world. But now that you mention it, I realize that Chronic Wasting Disease, which I am familiar with when it comes to deer and elk, would, of course, have the same initials for that acronym. Is there any chance that you live west of the Mississippi?

Ball pythons are awesome, I must admit. Say, I noticed in the photo that your guy’s shedding hide has sharp edges. Some keepers have had some unfortunate injuries due to that with their Leos. I would happy to see your happy boy tear his new skin. Just thought it worth a mention. And if it is soft styrofoam, it may not matter.
