ZoodulcisModeratorOh awesome! Do the cat and the beardie actually hang out together?
ZoodulcisModeratorWell, your pose made me smile! Are you a recent lockdown buddy, or have your humans had the pleasure of your company for a while now?
ZoodulcisModeratorOh nice!! There’s that orange boy. How old is he?
ZoodulcisModeratorAn adorable little Klingon (cling on….get it🤣) Is he or she an only frog, or are there more in there?
ZoodulcisModeratorOh that sounds marvelous. Kids that age are so awesome with animals and animals are so important for their development at that age. Research has shown that empathy in adulthood is hugely enhanced by the presence of treasured family pets in childhood. Did your son choose this pet, or did you?
ZoodulcisModeratorShe’s a real cutey. Is she a teacup?
ZoodulcisModeratorActive is good. Please let us know what the vet says.
ZoodulcisModeratorCheetah is a hoot. Have you had him very long?
ZoodulcisModeratorMy guess is, he got it from the breeder and it took a while to manifest. Let us know if he improves, the pedialyte sounds like a good idea. Poor dude.
ZoodulcisModeratorLarry looks like he has a nice humid environment. Is he a recent lockdown buddy, or have you wanted one for a long time?
ZoodulcisModeratorOh my gosh, that treatment would make anybody fall asleep. What is this spoiled rascal’s name?
ZoodulcisModeratorAnd he got lucky with you!! It’s sad that people can’t always take care of their animals long term, but it happens, especially in these difficult times. Good for you, deciding on a rescue. So what moved you to look for a relinquished beardie on Craigslist? If I may ask.
ZoodulcisModeratorHow’s your hognose doing? Any progress on eating? Did he end up with the vet?
ZoodulcisModeratorWhat a cute face! He looks like a real character. How long have you had him?
ZoodulcisModeratorIt’s great that he pooped!! However, the photo may confirm what I first suspected. He may have chytrid, which takes a while to develop. He appears to have skin sloughing off. Chytrid thickens the tissue of the epidermis, making it virtually impossible for the animal to stay hydrated. Dehydration can lead to constipation. If this is was it is, and only a vet can tell you for sure, the prognosis is not good. If your pet passes away and you decide to get another one, purchase from a different breeder and be sure to sterilize every single item in the enclosure, and apply a bleach solution to all interior parts of the habitat itself. This fungus is good at hiding. For more information, check out the site below.
