[post_content] => hey guys, so my one year old beardie, henry, won’t eat or bask at all. he’s been like this for the past week. he recently shed his head and now his beard and feet have gone the pale white colour so i presume he’s going to shed them as well. it has got a lot hotter in the uk and so the temperature in his basking spot has gone up but it seems as though he’s completely avoiding it. i’m going to buy a 75 and a 60w basking light to take the temperature back down to 30 degrees celsius as it’s at 34 now. he’s active and comes out of his viv often but just isn’t eating his salads (he loves the insects still) or basking. he also hasn’t pooped in about a week but if he’s not eating he won’t feel the need to poop or bask i suppose? could really do with some advice.

[post_content] => Ordered a beardie back in March from Reptilecity out of Texas and they never shipped out my beardie and when I asked for a refund they said that they would but they never did. I’ve wrote them many times just to get the run around. So I do not recommend buying from Reptilecity. This is just some information about doing some research before just picking any breeder like I did.

[post_content] => I just got Sammie 2 days ago from Petsmart, they told me she eats about 10 small crickets a day. She is a tiny thing, estimated 3 months old. But I suspect only maybe about 8 weeks or less. Since I got her she hasn’t ate anything, I’m constantly monitoring the temperature in her habitat. And doing all the things a good pet owner can do. I have owned a beardie before but it was an adult. I’ve learned new things and having a baby is freaking me out, I don’t want her to die. Is it common for baby’s not to eat if they are moved? I can tell she trusts me, and she’s sleeping a lot and isn’t very active. I have installed a black light, so she can stay warm. She has both UVB and a basking light
The tank is only 10 gallons, I am going to be purchasing a larger soon. Are lights supposed to be inside the tank? Or over?
Also I noticed my bulbs are only putting out about 85-90 degrees witch I know isn’t optimal for her.
Should I use the black light during the day with the others to increase the temp?
Halp
