                    [post_content] => This little guy is hailing from our humble nature center, The Pringle Nature Center (PNC for short). We have aptly named him "Mr. Pringle" and he is a gray's tree frog. He is also the newest edition to our pringle family! Here at the PNC we have 4 yellow-spotted salamanders, a red-earred slider, a snapping turtle, a corn snake, and a handful of Madagascar hissing cockroaches residing at our facility! In this picture you can see Mr. Pringle exploring his new habitat. However, he is pretty shy and stays out of view most of the time 😅 One of our favorite things about this little frog is how talented he is- we have already caught him changing colors from white, to green, and to brown! He may be very little, but he's got a big personality 😎

                    [post_content] => My pacman frog has burrowed herself for about a week, I think she's been eating because the terrarium started out with 5 crickets and now there is only one left. I'm just worried because I can't find her. I know the humidity level is fine and her temperature in the terrarium is about 75 degrees Fahrenheit. She's probably about a month old, and it's so hard to find her in the eco-earth.

                    [post_content] => Hello everyone!

Bit of backstory here: I work at a pet store in South Dakota. A few weeks back a customer came in with an whites tree frog they wanted to surrender, stating he had issues. Namely, he was loud at night, couldn't climb, and the owner suspected he had neurological issues. Additionally, the owner claimed he would not eat if there was substrate in the enclosure and had been using paper towels instead. We watched said frog in store for a few days after the owner gave him up and other than having issues climbing, did not note anything odd. However, we usually don't sell these frogs in store and don't have a ton of knowledge on them. I decided to take him home.

As of today, he is doing well. His name is Toes Bones and he has been improved tenfold. When I first brought him home he had issues using his back legs and struggled moving around. He also was extremely loud, croaking nearly non-stop from the time I brought him home through the night until the early morning. The next night I found he likes being handled then feed before lights out, and I haven't had an excessive croaking issue since. He also shed his skin around night two (which I only happened to catch him doing) and Toes has been able to climb his enclosure ever since. He still occasionally has issues with his back legs, but usually only when he gets woken up mid-nap. The previous owner thought he was around two years old and one of our reptile guys at work thought he was enclosure to six months as he only started croaking recently. Toes currently lives in a ten gallon aqueon tank, but I plan to move him to either a 20H or 29 gallon tank soon as he no longer struggles to climb (and he's a big boy). I think some of his troubles came from his last owner not providing humidity or just a general lack of attention.

All this to say, I'm still new amphibians. I have a small minidome providing light/mild heating for the tank and I provide a rotation of crickets and mealworms for Toes, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for general frog keeping. I've heard differing humidity levels for whites, so I've been keeping him around 50-60% humidity. Because he likes handling so much, I was also wondering should I look into finding another whites to pair him with? I also use a terrarium liner for the enclosure with some patches of sphagnum moss because of his eating issue and feed him in a critter carrier just in case, but I was thinking of trying substrate in the upgraded space. Has anyone else had this feeding issue?

I think that's it, any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!

                    [post_content] => We moved Paki to the big house. Now he looks small again. I made the cave with a ramp and it turns out Paki did not even need the ramp. There's enough of a rocky surface, that he just climbed up the outside to get to the top where my son had put the roaches.

I was going to hang his hammock; but, I wonder if I even need to.

                    [post_content] => I have not used this forum until today, even though I signed up a week or two ago. What is the easiest way to navigate? I'm not real experienced with using forums; although, I am signed up with a Bearded Dragon forum.

Recently, I ordered crickets from The Critter Depot. I've been feeding them to my bearded dragon. I wanted to try to breed crickets; so, I watched a video on The Critter Depot web site and got my bin set up just like the ones in the video.

Thing is, these crickets were delivered on Wednesday of last week. On Thursday morning, I noticed some white things that looked like rice in the box with the top soil in it. By Thursday afternoon they were gone. I thought that I would need to leave the egg laying box in the bin for a week.

This past Monday, I decided to start over and put another egg laying box in the bin. So far, I have not seen any eggs. I tried to contact The Critter Depot to find out what I might have done wrong. If there is a problem I want to be able to fix it. I used the online contact form and later tried using the email address that is at the bottom of almost every page. I have yet to hear back.

My bearded dragon is a juvenile. We measured him yesterday and he's about 14 inches long. I think he's around 8 months old. I got him on June 10th and they thought he was 4 or 5 months old.

What category to put this in? I'm not sure, Everything Else or Bearded Dragons. I'm going to try Bearded Dragons. If it should be somewhere else let me know.
