Crickets and mealworms are actually pretty similar in terms of nutrition. But in terms of keeping them, mealworms and crickets are very different. Mealworms have a two-stage life cycle, which, along with their storage-friendly habitat requirements, make them good to keep indoors. Crickets, on the other hand, grow fast and reproduce fast. Most people keep them outside, and they can produce a ton of feeders really quickly. The initial costs of these setups are similar. The main cost difference depends on your pet’s feeder needs.
