Unusual poses

This is Mr. Leon. He always gets himself in unusual positions resulting in unusual poses. I really think he does it so I can see. This chameleon loves the camera. Every time I walk by he is in a crazy position. He really wants them crickets.

Chameleon yoga, it’s all the rage. This is my favorite so far this month. How old is Mr. Leon?

That is a question I don’t even know the answer too. I do know that it was about 4 or 5 inches head to tail when we first got it in September. It is now about 7 or 8 inches.

Sounds like Mr. L is about 8-9 months old.

I think so. I don’t know much about them. It’s the first time we have chameleons as pets.

Well you made a good choice. What did make you decide to acquire two chameleons?

Actually my boyfriend purchased them. They initially went to get my son a guinea pig for his birthday and Mr. Leon caught his eye and he got one. A couple weeks later he got Chamille.

That’s a cute story. Is your son learning a lot about reptile husbandry?

[Maurina Apache]

We are all learning. Mostly just admire them and watch out for changes. We especially enjoy watching them eat crickets. I have some videos of them in action.
