Superworms and dubia roaches are two of the most popular choices for feeder insects. They’re both very easy to keep and provide good nutrition. But there are a couple differences which may lead you to pick one or the other. The dubia roach, Blaptica dubia, is a small, flightless cockroach native to South America. The superworm, Zophobas atratus, is the larva of a darkling beetle native to the tropics of central and South America. Nutritionally, both species have a good protein content, low fiber, and lots of moisture. For all the details, check out our full comparison.
