My crested gecko is normally very gentle and lazy but when it comes to food she is as if she starved for decades. Whenever I feed her crickets she hunts them like crazy but then a few days after she will hunt anything, shadows, fingers, hands etc. Is this normal? She then calms down after a day or two more
Sounds like a predatory drive in her reptile brain that gets supercharged and takes a while to turn off. This does not sound to me like anything to be worried about. It does sound like something to accommodate, and just allow her some time to decompress. How old is she?
