I am soon getting a Leopard gecko and Im nervous about the habitat I’m setting up. I have purchased a heating pad, and a lamp but I’m afraid it will be too hot for him, and I don’t want any accidents.
Greetings Madisyn, it’s good to be careful. I suggest you start by a careful reading of the Leopard Gecko Care Guide included on this site (not the forum, the Critter Depot site itself). Then, if you still have questions, post them here in the forum on this thread and I will guide you as best I can. Remember, the more details you can offer in your queries, the better and more appropriate that advice is going to be.
Definitely read that. Great website. Id also get a hydrometer and thermometer (I use 2, one for each side of tank) so you know you’re ranges are correct.
AB has included excellent advice for that additional monitoring equipment. Definitely acquire those items for peace of mind. Just be sure to check them daily.
