Cricket Contest- Halloween edition!

Hey everyone! Meet Larry, our adopted bearded dragon (also known as Larry-Berry). He came to us severely impacted and we weren’t sure if he would survive. We are new to the bearded dragon community but Larry has won our hearts and we have done lots of research to make sure that he has a happy and healthy life now 🙂 He has gotten used to regular baths and he LOVES crickets, he eats so many of them! We made him this shark Halloween costume and he also has his own instagram account, he would love it if you would give him a follow at @dragonlarryberry. Larry has fought hard for his life and a years’ worth of crickets would be such an amazing gift for him <3

His costume made me think he was imitating the Loch Ness monster. How did you cure him of his impaction?

Haha he does look like the Loch Ness Monster! We gave him several long warm baths until he was able to poop and fed him soft foods like mashed prunes.

Hey, mashed prunes do the trick for everyone! So does canned pumpkin. Was he on a sand substrate prior to coming into your care?
