This is Merlin, the Bearded Dragon. Merlin is about 4-5 months old, and has a very spicy yet sensitive personality. When we first got Merlin we were very concerned for him because he was lethargic and ate very little. Luckily, his health has turned around and has developed quite the appetite for crickets, worms, and veggies. He also likes to climb to the top of his tree, which is where he goes to sleep every night.

He looks like a real character. Do you think he was malnourished when you got him?

He was pretty skinny we got him, though I also think he was having a particularly bad time with relocation stress.

Many pet owners do not realize the impact that relocation can have. Good that you have calmed and pampered him. Was he a rescue?

I got him from a pet store. Not the best option, I know, but he seemed healthy and active enough at the store and I didn’t want to pass him up.
