Is Crow very friendly?

I’ve had him for about a week he’s still alil skittish but if I’m slow enough approaching his enclosure he lets me reach in and rub him. Lol

Well that sounds like a good start and a good approach. What made you choose this species as a pet?

I’ve always loved monitors but once I’ve seen my first jeweled lacerta in a petco I was surprised how beautiful it was. So I ran home to do research so I can know if it was a right choice. I got back within a hour and it was gone. 😭 lol. That was over 4 years ago but recently I’ve keep seeing online about the melanistic morph and I’ve been waiting and waiting to find one because the always seem to be out of stock. Then last week I seen it on kingsnake.com. So I snagged him lol 265 was a lot but I took the risk and he’s better then I expected. Lol. Last night he surprised me and crawled up my arm and was hanging out on my shoulder. Man I shoulda waited for a pic like that for the contest lol.

That’s a long time to wait for the perfect pet. Good for you for delaying gratification. As he gets friendlier and friendlier, additional pictures are always welcome. And if you aren’t the winner this month, you can take a new picture and post again in June.
