saranspringsteadParticipantCan you help me with the gender of my beardie? We assumed it was a he, but now I’m second guessing with how submissive he is!

ZoodulcisModeratorHaha…but personality is not a standard identifier of gender in this species. Darken the room and using a strong flashlight, shine it through his lower body from the dorsal side (top) through to the ventral side. You should be able to see two long organs on either side of the spine. They will be shadowy but visible. If you do see them, it’s a boy. If not, it’s a girl.

Caraline CorumParticipantHe/She is around age then. you can hold up a flashlight right below her tail on the top side and look at the bottom side. If you see two small circlular shapes then its a boy, if not, then it’s a girl. Hope this helps!!!

ZoodulcisModeratorNot sure how helpful the description of two small circles is, no offense. But go to the link provided below, examine the images, and then decide for yourself.
