Best way to give crickets

I have a baby Pacman frog and was wondering the best way to feed him his crickets. I usually take the ones in the tube (usually 1-3 varying in size) and then toss them in a container with calcium or vitamin. So I have two questions. Sometimes the crickets are in there but by the time he eats them the powder is in the substrate and off the crickets. I tried tong feeding but he’s not taking them from the tongs yet, could be because he’s new and a baby? I might start giving nightcrawlers too, but for the time I will use crickets.
Anyways if you have any tips I would be very gracious 😊

Baby frogs often will not eat off tongs readily, but they will given enough time. Right after newly acquiring one is not a good time and can be stressful for them. I would put in fewer crickets, and add some well-coated earthworms sooner rather than later.

Ok! thank you so much for all of your help 🙂 I am going to try giving nightcrawlers once most of my crickets are gone.
