How Fast Do Baby Chicks Grow?

Chicks are typically sold the day they hatch. This means you will basically have them from the moment they’re born. When your chickens first arrive, they’ll be about four inches tall and covered in a thick layer of super warm down. In the first week of life, your chicks will have grown about 50% larger than when you got them. By the end of the first month, your chickens will look like proper chickens.
